Molly Trauernicht
Molly Catherine Trauernicht, 32, died Saturday, Dec. 5, 2009, immediately after completing a half-marathon in Memphis, Tenn., to benefit St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Ms. Trauernicht was born Oct. 25, 1977, one of three triplets alongside siblings Samuel and Katie. She lived in Prairie Village, Kan., Troy, Ill., and Holt, Mo. She graduated from Kearney High School in 1996, where she was captain of the flag corps and a varsity member fo the swim team. After graduating from Truman State University, she earned her CPA and moved to the St. Louis area, working for MPPW and then for Gundaker Commercial Group as assistant comptroller.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Vernon and Eva Trauernicht and Jerome and Ruth Gripka. Survivors include her parents, Janice and Lee Trauernicht; her brother, Samuel Trauernicht and Patrich Trauernicht; and sister, Katie Kilgo; and other relatives.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 12, at the Church of the Annunciation in Kearney. Burial will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at the English Garden Cemetery in Fairfax, Mo. Visitation will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 11, at the church. Arrangements are through Fry-Bross & Spidle Funeral Home in Kearney.
