Nancy Render Elmore
Nancy Render Elmore, age 87, Excelsior Springs, passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at home.
Nancy was born November 22, 1928 in Ferrilview, Mo., to John and Sara Lena (Hart) Render.
She was married to Rodney C. Elmore on August 1, 1948. She was a beloved mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She was a devoted employee for 69 years at Excelsior Publishing Company. Her hobbies included travel, gardening, music and spending time with family. She was a long time member of the First United Methodist Church, where she also sang in the choir and taught Sunday School for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter-in-law, Nola Elmore; great-grandson, Jonathan Wilkins; brother-in-law, Melvin McCoy; and nephew, David M. McCoy.
She is survived by her sister, Sarah McCoy; children, Marc Elmore, Mary (Butch) Wilkins, Carol (Richard) St. John, and John (Denita) Elmore; grandchildren, Alyssa, Josiah and Jamison Elmore, Drew, Trevor and Spencer Wilkins, Jackie, Sarah and Cale Roberts, Justin and Hunter Elmore, Nick Burks, Megan Vosika, Derick and Melissa St. John; and 22 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the Methodist Church in Excelsior Springs at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 12, 2016. Visitation at the church prior to the service, beginning at 12:30 p.m. Cremation.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church.
Arrangements are under the direction of Bross & Spidle Funeral Home in Excelsior Springs.
