Nola "Jeannie" Griffin
Nola "Jeannie" Griffin, 30 (with 40 years of experience), of Excelsior Springs, Mo., gained her angel wings Saturday, July 16, 2016.
Jeannie was born June 16, 1946 in Liberty, Mo. Jeannie was considered a jack-of-all-trades when it came to hobbies. Whether it was baking, cooking, canning, sewing, crocheting, crafting, hair-dressing, fishing, or making a special someone beans and cornbread at 2:00 a.m., she did it well and mostly did it with a smile. Back in the day, Jeannie was an avid bowler. More importantly, Jeannie was a wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, niece, cousin and friend. Even as a friend, she was often times referred to as "Aunt Jeannie", because she treated everyone in her circle as a biological loved one. Her family was of utmost importance and she spent most of her days making them happy, which in turn brought her pure job. Outside, she was a beautiful woman and inside had a heart of gold to match.
Jeannie was preceded in death by her parents, Hurley Ealey and Rosa Raye, and her beloved Chihuahua, Candy.
She will be missed dearly by her husband of 47 years, David Griffin; daughter, Rhonda (Roy) Wilson; son, Kevin (Helene) Griffin; eight grandchildren, Stephanie (Shaun) Marcum, Zachary Griffin, Kaylee Griffin, Tiffany Wilson, Brandon Wilson, and Amanda (Josh) Jeffers; six great grandchildren, Ryne Marcum, Landon Marcum, Calan Marcum, Ryider Jeffers, Kadince Jeffers, and Zaydin Jeffers; five brothers, William Lester, Benny Joe, David Lee, T.J., and Hurley Lee; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitaion will be from 10 to 11 a.m., with services immediately following, on Friday, July 22, 2016 at Rock Falls Baptist Church in Orrick.
Memorial donations may be made to Rock Falls Baptist Church in Orrick, Mo.
