Naomi Lou Hampton
Naomi Lou Hampton was born in Jameson, Mo., to Joseph E. and Opal Wilmot on May 16, 1932. She attended all 12 years of school at Jameson R-3 and was a member of the Jameson Baptist Church.
She married Sherman Sharp in 1957. They had one son, Danny. Both preceded her in death. She then married Glen Hampton. He also preceded her in death, along with her parents; brother, Donald Wilmot; sisters, Norma Lea Burns, Joan Pearson, Nancy Sue Wilmot; niece, Sandra Pearson; and nephews, Nevin Burns and Roger McNeely.
Naomi spent her working years as a waitress both at the Kearney Truck Stop and Clem’s Restaurant in Kearney. She also spent time with Glen mowing lawns.
Naomi passed away April 16, 2016 at Nick’s Health Care Center where she had resided since December, 2013.
She is survived by brother, R.L. Wilmot, Gladstone, Mo.; sisters, Imogene McNeely, Lawson, Mo., Rheam Phillips, Springfield, Mo., Ruth Wilmot, Gladstone, Mo.; and a host of nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. with services at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at Fry-Bross & Spidle Funeral Home, Kearney, Mo.
