Ollie Ann Reames
Ollie Ann Reames, 91, Kansas City, Mo., passed away June 22, 2015.
Ollie was born to Thomas and Martha (Owens) Lindsay on May 15, 1924. She was a graduate of North Kansas City High School. She later attended KC Business school. She and Herbert owned The Barry General Store, later she prepared taxes for H & R Block before retiring at the age of 80.
Ollie was a member of Barry Christian Church. She enjoyed the outdoors, gardening and planting flowers for the deer. When she wasn’t outside she could be found reading, doing crosswords or watching the Royals play ball.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Gary Elifrits.
She is survived by her daughter, Marti (Bill) Ruth; sons, Rodney (Mary) Reames and Duwayne (Gina) Reames; eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, June 25, 2015 at Barry Christian Church, with funeral service at 11 a.m., Friday, June 26, 2015, also at the church; burial following at Fairview Cemetery, Kearney, Mo.
The family suggests memorial contributions to Catawba Valley Hospice, 3975 Robinson Road, Newton, NC 28658 or Crossroads Hospice, 14310 E. 42nd St. Unit 600, Independence, MO 64055.
Arrangements are through Fry-Bross & Spidle Funeral Home, Kearney.
