Patricia Eileen Clark
Patricia "Pat" Eileen (Holt) Clark passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at the Kansas City Hospice House on May 12, 2014. Pat had bravely fought breast cancer for nearly three years.
Pat was born to Walter and Mary Jane (Gorman) Holt on October 16, 1948, who preceded her in death. Pat’s older brother Russell (Rusty) also preceded her in death, passing at the age of 12 years old.
Pat is survived by her husband, Dan Clark, of nearly 45 years; her daughter, Kelly Lehman of San Antonio, Texas, and grandson, Jack Lehman; sisters, Peggy Marrs, Janie Denning and Nancy Brodbeck of Liberty, Mo., Tammy Neros of Parkville, Mo., and Linda Mason of Rolla, Mo.; and brother, Walt Holt of Liberty, Mo.
Pat graduated from Liberty High School in 1966. She enjoyed a 33-year career at Hallmark Cards beginning in a secretarial pool and advancing to General Merchandise Manager of Corporate Stores. Pat accomplished this with persistence, hard work and tenacity. She also was involved in new store concepts and gift product development.
Dan and Pat were united in marriage May 31, 1969. They have a loving daughter, Kelly, who presented them with an adorable grandson, Jack. Pat loved her family and friends and cherished the holiday dinners and family get-togethers. Pat’s creativity and decorated dinner tables for the various seasons was unmatched and greatly enjoyed by all.
Pat was a wonderful and loving wife to Dan, a caring and comforting mother to Kelly and a fun grandma for Jack.
Services will include a Rosary followed by a visitation at St. James Catholic Church, Liberty, Mo., on Wednesday evening, May 14, 2014, from 5 to 8 p.m. A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2014 at 10 a.m. Burial will be at New Hope Cemetery, Liberty, Mo.
Pat would appreciate a kind donation in lieu of flowers to the St. James Catholic Church Building Fund (309 So. Stewart Rd., Liberty, MO 64068) or the Kansas City Hospice House (12000 Wornall Rd., Kansas City, MO 64145), a wonderful organization that made her last days comfortable and peaceful.
Arrangements through Bross & Spidle Funeral Home, Excelsior Springs, Mo.
