Patricia Louise Curfman
Patricia Louise Curfman, 62, of Excelsior Springs, Mo., passed away at home surrounded by family on May 21, 2015.
Patricia was born December 2, 1952 in Minneapolis, Minn., to Donna Haverty. She was adopted by Elmer and Ethelyn (Wick) Pederson. Growing up, the family lived on a rural farm in Underwood, Minn. On September 13, 1975 she married Lyle Curfman. From this union, three children were born.
In 1985, Patricia graduated from Moorhead State with a degree in social work. Her loving and caring personality and strong faith were enjoyed by family, friends and even strangers that she would console in times of trouble. Over the years she had adopted many dogs and cats giving them a warm and loving home.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson.
Survivors include her husband of 40 years, Lyle Curfman; daughters, Angela and Jason Callaway, and Amanda and Tom Beringer; son, Andrew and Ashleigh Auddett Curfman; grandchildren, Alisia, Bradley, Cody, Emma, Tristan, Jackson, Leya, Annika, Chloe, Braden, and Granger; brother, Eugene and Pat Pederson; and Donna’s children, Candy Callio, Becky Zimmerman and Mark Havetry.
She was loved by all and will be greatly missed
Private family church service will be held over the weekend. A celebration of life with a balloon release will be held at a later date. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to an animal shelter, Wayside Waifs, 3901 Martha Truman Rd., Kansas City, MO. 64137 or www.waysidewaifs.org.
