Patricia Faith Provow
Pat Provow, 83, Holt, Mo., passed away May 28, 2014.
Pat was born May 2, 1931 to Kent and Henrietta Cannedy in Pekin, Ill. She worked as a secretary for Spencer Olin of Winchester Western Corporation in East Alton, Ill. She met Norman Provow while working for Mr. Olin at a trap shooting range. They were married February 23, 1963.
Pat was a member of Kearney First Baptist Church where she was very active in the children’s ministry, she taught Sunday school, worked in the nursery and helped with Children’s Church. She was also a former member of The Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Orville Cannedy.
She is survived by her husband, Norman of 51 years; son, Paul and wife, Deana; daughter, Sharon and husband, Chris Ivy; grandchildren, Taylor Provow, Harlie, Paige and Max Ivy; great grandson, Jaxon Yelton; brothers, Jack (Hazel) Cannedy, and Kenneth “Butch” Cannedy; sister, Eva Faye “Sis” Zeisset; along with a large extended family and many friends.
Pat was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend and will be greatly missed.
A celebration of life will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, June 7, 2014 at the Kearney First Baptist Church, with visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. prior. A private family interment was held at Antioch Cemetery, Holt, Mo. The family suggest memorial contributions to the church.
Arrangements are through Fry-Bross & Spidle, Kearney.
