Phyllis Ann Whipple
Phyllis Ann Whipple, 87, passed away October 28, 2015 at her home in Kearney, Mo. Phyllis was born October 22, 1928 in Duluth, Minn., to William and Lillian (Libert) Symons.
In 1956 she met and married Robert Whipple, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by brothers, Norman, Thomas and Dale.
Phyllis is survived by four children, Robin Hammond and husband, Bob, Venice, Fla., Kathy Caine, Kearney, Dick Whipple, Hudsonville, Mich., and David Whipple, Liberty; 12 grandchildren, Adam and Hilary Hammond, Mike, Alec and Nick Caine, Ryan, Courtney, Meg and Aidan Whipple, Caleb, Cole and Christian Whipple; and one great-grandson, Jacob Whipple.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to St. Jude Children's Hospital, Children's Mercy Hospital or the Youth Group at Church of the Annunciation in Kearney.
Rosary will be said 4:30 p.m., October 29, 2015 followed by visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. at Fry-Bross & Spidle Funeral Home.
Funeral Mass will be held 10:30 a.m., Friday, October 30, 2015 at The Church of the Annunciation, 701 N. Jefferson, Kearney, Mo., with burial at New Hope Cemetery, Liberty, Mo.
