Robert Harold Green
Robert Harold Green, 82, of Excelsior Springs, Mo., passed away Saturday, October 19, 2013. Robert was born November 20, 1930 in Arrow Rock, Mo., to Robert Elmer and Mary H. (Hillebrand) Green.
On August 2, 1952, Robert married Rose Alyce Summers in Marshall, Mo. They were married 61 years. Robert served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War. After his military service, Robert was a dispatcher for KCP&L. He later owned and operated Roberts Refrigeration. He was also a member of Salem Christian Union Church.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.
Survivors include his wife, Rose of the home; daughter, Deborah (Bob) Ross; son, Denzel (Tracy) Green; grandchildren, Jake (April) Ross and great grandson, Tyler, Jim (Sharon) Ross and great grandchildren, Wyatt and Brooklyn, four other grandchildren and two other great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at Bross & Spidle Funeral Home in Excelsior Springs, Mo. Visitation for Mr. Green will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 22, 2013 also at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
