Roger M. Head
Roger M. Head, 69, Lawson, Mo., passed away January 27, 2015.
Roger was born June 2, 1945 in Milan, Mo., to Carl and Lorene Head. Roger was very active in the community, serving as past Park Board and Lawson Baseball Association president. After retiring from Consolidated Freightways, Roger worked for Lawson Manor and did maintenance for Lawson Schools. Roger loved to hunt and golf, you could often find him at Hidden Valley Golf Course.
Roger is survived by his wife of 44 years, Carol of the home; two sons, Jason (Christina) Head and Jeremy Head; grandchildren, Drake, Moriah and Olivia; brothers, Gary (Bonnie), Jerry (Gloria) Head; sister, Freda (Pat) McMillin; and his dog, Josie.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, LeRoy and Mervyn Head; and sister, Rena Nickell.
Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, January 30, 2015 at Kearney First Baptist Church, 303 S. Grove St., Kearney, Mo., with a memorial service following at 1 p.m. The family suggests in lieu of flowers contributions to Hidden Valley Golf Course for a memorial in his honor.
Arrangements are through Fry-Bross & Spidle Funeral Home, Kearney.
