Rose Mann
Rose Frances O’Neill Mann, 97, Kearney, Mo., died Monday, March 21, 2011. Ms. Mann was born Dec. 13, 1913, in Doniphan, the daughter of Frank Owen and Anna Ederer O’Neill. She moved to the Independence area in 1914. She married Roger Mann Sept. 5, 1935. Together they raised cattle and were grain farmers. He died Nov. 14, 2011, after 66 years of marriage.
In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Gerald O’Neill and Owen O’Neill; and three sisters, Dorothy Barnes, Geneva O’Neill and Anita. Survivors include: two nephews, Ronald Mann and Robert O’Neill; a sister-in-law, Louise O’Neill and other relatives.
Memorial graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 30, at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Kearney. Arrangements are through Fry-Bross & Spidle Funeral Home in Kearney. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
