Ray Wall
Ray Dean Wall, son of Arch and Verna (Brewer) Wall, born Feb. 21, 1934, in Cosby, Mo., passed away on Saturday, July 9, 2011, at his home in Excelsior Springs, Mo., at the age of 77. Ray graduated from King City High School in 1951. He was united in marriage to Darlene Joyce (Hill) Wall on Dec. 26, 1951, in Conway, Ark. He worked for the C.R. Davis Lumber and Coal Yard Co. in Fairmount, Sheffield Steel Co. in Kansas City, Mo., then he finished his working career as a switch yard foreman for the Kansas City Southern Railroad, retiring in 1992 after 40 years.
Ray is survived by his wife, Darlene; sons, Cris Gene, Gary Daryel and Khristopher Ray and his wife, Jennifer Wall; daughters, Fran and husband, Kenny Hessenflow, and Jessica Jeanette and husband, Don Villers; grandchildren, Kendra Michelle, Chaise David-Ray, Dakota Villers and Kaitlyn Monique Wall; brother, Ronald Leroy Wall; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Dorothy McMillen.
Visitation will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m., Thursday, July 14, at Bross & Spidle Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, July 15, at Siloam Spring Church, with burial following at Hillcrest Cemetery in Excelsior Springs.
