Thomas Edward Ledford
Tom Ledford, 77, Crystal Lakes, Mo., passsed away November 17, 2015.
Tom was born April 23, 1938 to Cecil and Dorothy Ledford in Kansas City, Mo. He graduated from East High School in Kansas City, Mo. He was an Army veteran. Tom was a naturalist at Martha Lafite Thompson Nature Sanctuary, he loved wildlife. He was a long time member of Clay County Christian Church and worked with youth groups. He had also driven a school bus, worked at Western Auto, took care of rental propeties for HUD, worked at a stable, did shipping and receiving for Cullen and Brown in NKC and sold real estate.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Linda; son, Tom Ledford Jr.; daughter, Tammy Ledford; brother, Denne Roe; sister, Gayla Moore; nine grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m., Friday, November 20, 2015 at Clay County Christian Church, with memorial service following. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Show-Me Christian Youth home in LaMonte, Mo.
Arrangements are through Bross & Spidle Funeral Home, Excelsior Springs.
