Thomas H. Neibergall
Thomas H. Neibergall, 75, died February 18, 2016, at Liberty Hospital Hospice, surrounded by friends and family.
Tom was born June 14, 1940, in Mason City, Iowa, the son of Henry and Wilma Neibergall. He married Pat Neibergall (Berkland) on July 15, 1967, in Mason City, Iowa. Tom was an EMT Paramedic and Firefighter in Richmond and Excelsior Springs, Mo., and a Liberty Hospital transportation driver, before he retired. Tom was a devoted member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Excelsior Springs and now sits at the Pearly Gates he worshipped unabashedly. A Navy Veteran, he was an avid fisherman, sports enthusiast, and a frugal shopping afficianoto.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents and brother, “Larry” E. Neibergall; niece, Elizabeth (Gina) Neibergall; and great niece, Alyssa Grillone.
Survivors include his wife, Pat, of the home; two daughters, Kelly M. Paterson (Paul), Liberty, and Tracy L. Waggoner (Wes), Kansas City; two sons, Scott A. Neibergall (Shelly), Liberty, and Marcus (Thad) Neibergall (Kelly), Charlotte, N.C.; one sister, Jean Austinson; one brother-in-law, Terry Berkland; a mother-in-law, Agatha Berkland; five grandchildren; eight nieces and nephews; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
Visitation will be at 4 p.m., Sunday, February 21, 2016, at St. Ann Catholic Church, followed by a memorial Mass at 10 a.m. on Monday, February 22, 2016 at St. Ann Catholic Church. Committal of ashes will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Excelsior Springs, following Mass. In lieu of flowers please send donations to Liberty Hospital Hospice or National Shrine of St. Jude.
Arrangements are through Bross & Spidle Funeral Home, Excelsior Springs.
