Thelma Scott
Thelma Coleen Scott, 93, died Monday, Oct. 26, 2009. Ms. Scott was born Sept. 8, 1916, in Rayville, the daughter of Wade Hampton and Emma Mae (O’Dell) McGinnis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J.W. Scott; a grandson, Donald Woods; six sisters; and one brother.
Survivors include three daughters, Patricia Woods, Barbara Price and Dorothy Fitzwater, all of Excelsior Springs; three sons, Harold Scott Humphreys, Missouri, Jimmy Scott, Excelsior Springs, and Chris Scott, Kearney; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30, at Bross & Spidle Funeral Home in Excelsior Springs. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, at the Bross & Spidle chapel, with interment to follow at Crown Hill Cemetery in Excelsior Springs.
