Virginia Benda
Virginia M. Benda, 69, Kansas City, Mo., passed March 2, 2013. Virginia was born March 10, 1943 in Grayslake, Ill., to Warren and Virginia VanZant Herringshaw. Virginia practiced the Catholic faith. She worked as a deputy for the Clay County Sheriff’s Department.
She is preceded by her parents.
Survivors include her children, Jenny and Joel Benda; brother, Bill Herringshaw; and her dogs, Yoda and Sasha.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, March 9, 2013 at St. Ann Catholic Church Excelsior Springs. Visitation will be 9 to 10 a.m. prior to service at the Church. Cremation.
