Virgil "Woody" Kelly
Virgil “Woody” Kelly, 83, of Kearney, M0., passed away Sunday, April 21, 2013.
Woody was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Marjorie Kelly, parents Earnest and Anna Mae Kelly, of Carrollton, Mo., two infant siblings, brothers, Junior Kelly of Carrollton, Mo., and Marion Kelly of Carrollton, Mo.
He is survived by sisters, Margaret Veach of Tina, Mo., Annabelle Gregg of Independence, Mo., Ola Mae Russell of Blue Springs, Mo.; brother, John Kelly (Shirley) of Crestview, Fla.; four sons, Eddie Kelly (Sherry) of North Kansas City, Mo., Roy Kelly (Pattie) of Holt, Mo., Doug Kelly (Dena) of Kearney, Mo., and Tim Kelly (Beth) of Richmond, Mo.; 11 grandchildren and five great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Thursday, May 2, 2013 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Fry-Bross & Spidle Funeral Home in Kearney, Mo. Funeral will be Friday, May 3, 2013 at 10 a.m. at the same location, followed by full military burial graveside services at 2 p.m. at Big Creek Cemetary in Bosworth, Mo. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Alzheimer’s Association of Kansas City or to the Cameron Veteran’s Home.
