Virginia Smith
Virginia Smith, 77, Excelsior Springs, Mo., passed away November 13, 2013.
Virginia was born August 10, 1936 to Alonzo and Josephine McCant in Excelsior Springs, Mo. She was the director of surgical nursing at Excelsior Springs Hospital for many years; she served on the board for OATS, Inc., she was a member of The Ladies Professional Women’s group and a devoted Christian.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
Virginia is survived by her husband of 57 years, Ernest Smith of the home; son, Anthony (Jennifer) Smith; daughter, Shelia Bunyan; and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, November 18, 2013 at the Excelsior Springs Baptist Church, with visitation from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to services. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery, Excelsior Springs, Mo. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to the Good Samaritan Center.
Arrangements are through Bross & Spidle Funeral Home, Excelsior Springs.
