William "Bill" Fuenfhausen
William Eugene “Bill” Fuenfhausen, passed away on January 8, 2012 at the Liberty Hospital, Liberty Mo., surrounded by his family.
Bill was born December 25, 1933 in Salisbury Mo. He was the son of Emil Andrew Fuenfhausen and (Lena) Helen Lucille Goetz. While attending St. Joseph High School, Salisbury, Mo., he worked at Jackson Motors. After graduation he married Gwen Thresh of Keytesville, Mo., and had one son. Bill moved to Kansas City, Mo., and started work at Trans World Airline in April 1953.
On August 12, 1954, he married Ramona Fleming, Breckenridge, Mo. Two sons were born of this marriage. Bill served two years with the U.S. Army, from September 1956 to May 1958. Bill retired April 29, 1996, as an Inspection Crew Chief from TWA after 43 years.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Don. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Ramona; three sons, Billy Lee Fuenfhausen, Springfield, Ronald Fuenfhausen, Lexington, and Gary Fuenfhausen, Arrow Rock; two granddaughters, Christy Fuenfhausen, Lexington, and Alissa Fuenfhausen, Springfield.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, Jan.11, 2012 at St. James Catholic Church, Liberty Mo., from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Rite of Christian Burial will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 12, at the church. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Salisbury Mo., at 2 pm.
