Wanda Jean Isom
Wanda Jean Isom, 93, of Excelsior Springs, Mo., passed away May 4, 2016 at Excelsior Springs Convalescent Center.
Mrs. Isom was born December 2, 1922 in Excelsior Springs, Mo. She had lived in Excelsior Springs her whole life. She was the daughter of James and Lucille (Allen) Maidment. She married Jerry DeWayne Isom in January of 1939. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Excelsior Springs.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, DeWayne, in 2009.
Survivors include a son, Mike Isom (Janis) of Miami, Fla., and daughter, Diane Schmidt (Gary) of Excelsior Springs; three brothers, Jim Maidment (Johnnie) of Lebanon, Mo., Bill Stewart (Linda) of Liberty, Mo., and Gary Stewart (Joyce) of Excelsior Springs; six grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday, May 6, 2016 at First United Methodist Church in Excelsior Springs, followed by the funeral service at 2 p.m. Burial at Crown Hill Cemetery in Excelsior Springs.
Memorial donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church or Excelsior Springs Convalescent Center.
Arrangements are through Bross & Spidle Funeral Home, Excelsior Springs.
