William Malott
William “Bill” Malott, 70, Lawson, Mo., passed away February 15, 2015.
Bill was born December 12, 1944 to Ernest E. and Maudie A. (Crawford) Malott in Excelsior Springs, Mo. He was a retired construction/demolition worker. Bill enjoyed fishing, sitting around with his family and friends telling stories and could often be found tinkering in his shop on one of his lawn mowers.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Seth Simmons.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Nan; son, Russell E. and wife, Mendy Malott; daughter, Lori Lewis; son, Michael Malott; son, William P. and wife, Valarie Malott; brother, Gene and wife, Brenda Malott; sisters, Denise Rainey and Gail Wilkins; 13 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday, February 19, 2015 at Bross & Spidle Funeral Home, with a celebration of life service immediately following. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or Wounded Warrior Project. Bill was an organ donor.
