Winnie Southwick
Winnie L. Southwick, 97, Excelsior Springs, Mo., passed away August 30, 2013. Winnie was born January 27, 1916 to Nesbit and Irene Featherstone Rice in Brookesmith, Texas. She was a long time member of The First United Methodist Church of Excelsior Springs.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, four sisters, husbands, Ben Southwick and William C. Allen, and her daughter, Patsy Osborne.
She is survived by her granddaughter, Trudy Erisman; grandsons, Tom, Ronnie, Don, Tod and Bob Freitag; nine great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson.
A memorial visitation will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 2, 2013 at Lakeview Village, Heritage Place entrance, 9100 Park Dr., Lenexa, Kans.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m., Tuesday, September 3, 2013 with services following at First United Methodist Church of Excelsior Springs with burial at Crown Hill Cemetery, Excelsior Springs, Mo.
Arrangements are through Bross & Spidle Funeral Home, Excelsior Springs.
