Wanda E. Yetter
Wanda Yetter, 74, born in Gallatin, Mo., on April 1, 1940, the daughter of Earl L. and Winifred M. McCrary, was called home by her Lord February 10, 2015.
She graduated from Central High School, St. Joseph, Mo. Upon graduation from business college, Wanda worked at St. Joseph Structural Steel Co. as payroll secretary.
On June 16, 1962, Wanda and Jim Yetter were united in marriage. They had two children, Kimberly (Yetter) Kytasaari and Bryan Yetter.
In 1969, Wanda and her family moved to Liberty, Mo., where she worked at William Jewell College as buyer in the campus book store and later as business manager of the Mabee Center on the William Jewell campus, retiring from WJC in 1998.
After retiring from WJC, Wanda joined Jim at their home at the Lake of the Ozarks, where they owned and operated some Subway sandwich stores. Upon retiring again, she and Jim moved to Kearney, Mo. Wanda and Jim enjoyed their motorhome and traveling to various parts of the country. They were members of a Winnebago Camping chapter where they both held local and state offices.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Jim; daughter, Kimberly Kytasaari (John); son, Bryan Yetter (Jill); and four Wonderful grandchildren, Mackenzie Kytasaari, Hailey, Emma and Joseph Yetter. She Loved them very much and was So Proud of them!
Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m., Saturday, February 21, 2015, with Memorial Service at 11 a.m. at the Liberty United Methodist Church, 1001 Sunset Ave., Liberty, Mo.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to LUMC Memorial Fund.
Arrangements are through Fry-Bross & Spidle Funeral Home, Kearney.
