Donald Amerson Utley, 83, of Lawson, Mo., passed away April 8, 2017.
Donny was born January 17, 1934 in Gillette Grove, Iowa, to Orville and Loreta (Bennett) Utley. He was one of 13 children. When he was 18, he moved to Kansas City where he worked for Armco Steel for 40 years. Donny was known by many as a great entertainer and was loved by all kids.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, Vida May Quist, Lucile Clayton, Wanda Foster, Kenneth Utley, and Carolyn Jones.
He is survived by siblings, Lillian Cunningham of Fort Dodge, Iowa, Orlie Utley of Spencer, Iowa, Bob Utley of Pecatonica, Ill., Gale Utley of Western Grove, Ark., Marilyn Brustares of Spencer, Iowa, Ann Tieberend of Nashville, Ill., and Eula Belken of Spencer, Iowa. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Donny also leaves his extended family, Tim and Rhonda Luther and his grandkids, Travis and Carson Luther; and special friend, Gene Benedict of Lawson.
DonDon’s funny faces and general orneriness will be missed by all.
Cremation. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Catrick’s Café, 410 N. Pennsylvania Avenue in Lawson, Mo.
