Charles Keith “Pete” Greer Sr., 87, of Cameron, Mo., went to be with our Lord, Sunday, April 9, 2017.
On June 6, 1952, he married Connie Lee Barnes, who precedes him in death, as well as a son, Michael Eugene Greer, and grandchildren, Lynda Lee Adams and Eldon Eugene Johnson.
Pete spent 26 years serving our country in the United States Marines. In 1953 while serving in the Korean War, his son, Charles Keith Greer Jr. was born. Later Pamela Sue was born in 1955. She is married to Raymond Johnson and they reside in Topeka, Kans.
Pete also served tours during the Vietnam War in 1965 and 1968.
Pete is also survived by 30 grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren whom he loved dearly and had so much fun with.
Pete will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
A visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday, April 14, 2017 at Fry-Bross & Spidle Funeral Home in Kearney, Mo. Graveside services will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, also in Kearney.
