Ralph E. Wilson, of Lathrop, Mo., passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, May 3, 2017. He was 84 years old.
Ralph was born in Coloma, Mo., on October 1, 1932 to Sherman and Minnie (Smith) Wilson. He married Carolyn J. Banning Smith on May 8, 1968. She survives of the home. He and Carolyn were self-employed as co-owners of R & C Auto Parts, Inc. Ralph liked camping and was an avid KC Chiefs and KC Royals fan along with enjoying his “hobby farm”.
Ralph was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Bill and Don Rex Wilson; sister, Bonnie Preston; and son, Steve Smith.
In addition to his wife, Carolyn, Ralph is survived by son, Mark (Sherry) Wilson of Omaha, Neb.; daughters, Tami Huffman and Lynn (Jeff) Jenkins of St. Joseph, Mo., and Cheryl (Kenny) Garrison of Holt, Mo.; five grandsons, Craig Wilson, Michael Wilson, Dustin Huffman, Steven Garrison and Nathan Garrison; two granddaughters, Rebecca Martin and Talitha Wilson; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 9 to 10 a.m., Saturday, May 6, 2017 with funeral service immediately following at Bross & Spidle Funeral Home Lawson Chapel. Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. at Coloma Cemetery, Coloma, Mo.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to American Diabetes Assn. or Kansas City Hospice.
