Eva Marie Minnis DeArmon of Excelsior Springs, Mo., passed away Saturday, February 11, 2018 at the Excelsior Springs Nursing and Rehab facility. Eva was 73 years, 10 months. Eva was a member of Woods Memorial Christian Church.
Eva was born at home in Chillicothe, Mo., on April 30, 1944 to Clyde and Edith Minnis..
Eva was proceeded in death by her son, Jason Lee Stephens, who was in the U.S. Navy.
Eva leaves behind three daughters, Tammy M. Grimes of North Kansas City, Michelle Sharp of Excelsior Springs, and Candice R. Stephens of Excelsior Springs; three step daughters, Margot M. Scott of Excelsior Springs, Amy A. White of Gladstone, and Jenny R. Fish of Excelsior Springs. Eva has 15 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren, with one great grandchild due next summer; sisters, Bonny Thompson, Mary Hibner, Doris Hussey, Lucille Powers, and Carolyn McCracken. She also leaves her husband of 36 years, Barney L. DeArmon of Excelsior Springs; plus many, many friends.
Eva enjoyed her Church family, her home, and travel. Eva had previously worked at Orbseal for 13 years.
Eva’s visitation will be at 9 a.m. on Monday, February 19, 2018, at Bross & Spidle Funeral Home, Excelsior Springs, Mo., with funeral to follow at 10 a.m. Interment will follow services at the Arkadelphia, Livingston County Cemetery. Services will be led by longtime friend and Elder, Mike Britt.
