Jacqueline Jean Walsh, 83, entered into rest on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 surrounded by family.
Jackie was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania on March 8, 1935, the daughter of George and Viola Walsh (Cloutier). She was married to Richard Patrick Walsh on July 4, 1953.
Jackie loved spending time with her grandchildren and children. Her love of reading and books led to her 22-year career as a librarian in Bethalto, Illinois. She was a sweet and quiet soul, always willing to lend an ear. She will be remembered as an endearing and intelligent person, and to know her was to love her.
Jackie is survived by her four children and their spouses, Julie and Mark Overmeyer of Kearney, Missouri, Kim and Cecil File of Cottage Hills, Illinois, Lisa Tucker of Moro, Illinois, David Walsh of Columbia, Missouri; and her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents and husband.
