Milton Leroy Alley died at home in peace with his wife, Esther, by his side on Monday, May 28, 2018. He was 82 years old.
He was proceeded in death by his father, Jim Alley; his mother, Lottie Fern Whistler Alley; his brothers, Robert and Jay Alley; and his great granddaughter, Chrissie Lee Adair.
Milton is survived by his wife of 65 years, Esther Marie Butler-Alley; two daughters, Lorene Marie Swope and Diane Frances Fitzgerald; sister, Donna Marie Hackley; grandchildren, Jennifer Jones, Eric Henry Sr., Melissa Roberts, Dawn Storey, Chad Storey, John Fitzgerald III, and Mary Kate Fitzgerald; seven great grandchildren; and seven great-great grandchildren.
Milton attended Tarsney grade school and Blue Springs High School. He was a Journeyman Machinist for TWA and a member of I. A. M. (International Association of Machinists) for 35 years. He was a parishioner of St. Ann Parish in Excelsior Springs, Mo., for over 40 years. He was a Eucharist IC minister, and served as a Grand Knight for the Knights of Columbus. He was also an avid Chiefs fan – “Go Chiefs!”
The visitation and funeral service will be held at St. Ann Catholic Church, 1503 Tracy, Excelsior Springs, Mo., 64024 on Friday, June 1, 2018. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., with the funeral mass directly following at 11:00 a.m. For interment, we will go in procession to Mount Olivet Cemetery, 7601 Blue Ridge Blvd., Raytown, Mo., 64138.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Ann Catholic Church.
