Dave Huntsman, 82, Kearney, Mo., passed away September 16, 2018 at his home.
Dave was born March 11, 1936 to Thomas Jeffries and Lela Leona (Brimer) Huntsman in Birmingham, Mo. Dave was hardworking man and spent most of his life farming. He enjoyed sharing a meal with his friends at the “Liar’s table” in Kearney.
Dave married Donna Jean Duncan in June, 1957 and was married to her for 29 years until her death in July, 1986. They had three children, David Carl who died at 11 months, Wendy Elaine (Johnson), and Thomas Jeffries who died at age 26.
He married Carol June (Smotherman, Divin) Michler in March, 1987. Carol had one child, Tera Sue Michler-Rose who changed her name to Tera Sue Michler-Huntsman in 1994.
He is also survived by his siblings, a brother, Leroy (Judy) Huntsman; sisters, Bonnie (Milton) Grider and Joan Bidack; four grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and many nephews and nieces.
Memorial visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m., Thursday, September 27, 2018, with service immediately following at Fry-Bross & Spidle Funeral Home, Kearney, Mo. Burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery, Liberty, Mo.
