Gerald Leroy Alexander

Gerald Leroy Alexander, 71, of Lawson, Mo., passed away at home on Wednesday, October 25, 2018.  He was born November 16, 1946 to Elva Faye and Henry Alexander.  On February 11, 2011, Gerald married his long-lost love, Alice Marie Alexander.  Gerald was the most gentle, genuine, kind caring man that would give the shirt off his back.  He loved gardening, church, music and spending time with his family and friends.  He served as a Sergeant in the United States Army, June 19, 1967 to March 8, 1969.  His faith in God and the love for his family and friends will be missed forever in our hearts.

He is preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Cpl. Tim Cates Jr.

Survivors include his wife, Alice Marie Alexander.  His children, Randy, Tim, Terri (Keith), Janice (Dennis), Robert (Carol), Richard (Michelle), and Marsha (Scott); grandchildren, Stephen (Andrea), Christopher, Lindsey, Tabitha, Casey, Michael, Billy, Joey, Connar and Coltan;  great grandchildren, LillyAnn, Samual, Stephen and Daniel;  one brother, Henry Alexander, and four sisters, Karen Glunt, Sharon Kincaid, Phyllis O’Connell and Wanda Hill.

Memorial Services will be conducted from 10 to 11 a.m. for visitation and funeral at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at Bross & Spidle Lawson Chapel, Lawson, Mo.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Wounded Warrior Project. Dinner following after at the church in Missouri City, Mo.

Alice I’m so sorry for your loss. You always deserved the best and when you married Gerald you got it.  When I would run into you I could see the love the both of you had.  It’s going to be a hard road ahead but the family support you have is amazing. Your family has always had that in them.  You’re in my prayers and always in my heart ❤️
