Louise Clevenger, 94, Excelsior Springs, Mo., passed away Monday, November 5, 2018.
Louise was born June 13, 1924, daughter of Barney Otto and Edith Belle Smith. She married Benjamin Clevenger on October 28, 1945. He preceded her in death May 29, 2011. Louise worked at Flanders in downtown Excelsior Springs from 1963 until the stores closing; she later worked at The Style Shop, and was a long time member of Union Baptist church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, and son-in-law.
Survivors include her son, Gary and wife, Connie Clevenger of Excelsior Springs, Mo.; daughter, Karen Clancy of Ottawa, Kans.; sister-in-law, Edith Clevenger of Hoquiam, Wash.; five grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 12 to 1 p.m., Thursday, November 8, 2018, with service following at Union Baptist Church, Orrick, Mo. Burial will be at Union Baptist Cemetery. The family suggests in lieu of flowers contributions to the church missions fund.
Arrangements are in care of Bross & Spidle Funeral Home, Excelsior Springs.
