Gale Reid Cravens, 70, Kansas City, Mo., passed away Sunday, November 11, 2018 at the NorthCare Hospice House of North Kansas City Hospital.
Gale was born July 30, 1948 in Excelsior Springs, Mo., the son of Russell and Wilma Cravens. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in Vietnam as an U.S. Army SP5 in Satellite Communications.
Following his service time, he worked over 40 years with the U.S. Postal Service. He always liked discussing the latest news, sports and cars with friends and family.
Gale was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Larry Cravens.
Survivors include a brother, Marc Cravens and wife, Debbie, of Smithville, several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, along with cousins, aunts and uncles.
To honor Gale’s wishes, a memorial service will not be held. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a veteran charity. He will be buried in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Excelsior Springs near his parents and brother.
