Russell Allen Giles, 51, Hamilton, Mo., passed away on December 27, 2018 at KU Medical Center.
Russell was born November 10, 1967 in Independence, Mo., to George and Hazel (Smith) Giles.
Russell grew up in Lawson, Mo., and graduated from Lawson High School. After high school he worked at various jobs but the majority of his career was at Banta Publications in Liberty, Mo., and as a Corrections Officer at the Western Missouri Correctional Center in Cameron, Mo.
Russell enjoyed a lifelong passion for hunting and was proud that opening day of deer season fell on his birthday every 6 years. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR rooting for his favorite driver, Jimmie Johnson.
Russell was preceded in death by his father, George Giles, and a granddaughter, Jasmine Dominis.
Survivors include his loving partner, Linda Harter of the home; three children, Tiffany Dominis and Victoria (Dejan) Tadic, Excelsior Springs, and Christopher Giles, Sunrise Beach; an adopted daughter, Mikaela Giles, Independence; four grandchildren; his mom, Hazel Giles; five sisters, Debbie Holt, Donna (Steve) Swope, Rhonda (Marlin) Morris, Karen Gooding, and Michelle (Dwayne) Wisdom; two brothers, Kevin (Robin) Giles and Larry (Kristy) Giles; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 31, 2018 with service immediately following at Lawson Baptist Church. Burial at Lawson Cemetery, Lawson, Mo.
