Suzanne “Suzy” Amberg

Suzanne “Suzy” Amberg, 86, passed peacefully into the arms of the Lord on Easter Sunday, April 21, 2019, surrounded by family.

Born in Salisbury, Mo., to Irene and Leo Kressig, she attended Salisbury High School and graduated from the College of Saint Teresa, where she studied nursing.  She was a loyal and loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister and friend.  She was a devout Catholic and spent many hours in prayer during her final years.

She leaves behind son, Theodore William (Marcy), Amberg, III.; daughter, Melinda Amberg (Stan) Vajdic; five deeply loved grandchildren, Tyler, Matt, Luke, Jack and Alivia; brother, E.J. Kressig, Jefferson City, Mo.; sister, Sondra Turner, Mooresville, N.C.; and several cherished nieces and nephews.

A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 27, 2019, at the Church of the Annunciation in Kearney, Mo. A visitation will be held directly beforehand at 10 a.m. Burial will be private. The family is deeply grateful for those who cared so well for her in her declining years, especially Westbrook Care Center.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Church of the Annunciation, 701 N Jefferson St., Kearney, MO 64060, or any other charity.

Suzy was a wonderful person and a good friend.  She was a devout Catholic.  She was always so kind to everyone and had a sweet smile.  She is certainly missed, but is with Our Dear Lord for eternity.
