Miller Keeney Herndon was born November 6, 1929 in Tiffany Springs, Mo., to Simeon Branham Herndon Sr. and Nora (Miller) Herndon. He graduated from Smithville High School.
He served his country proudly in the Navy.
He married Norma J. Randle and she preceded him in death. He was also preceded by sisters, Gertie Lee Buckler, Jessie Schwarz and brother, S.B. Herndon Jr.
Survivors include daughters, Connie N. Sander (Ralph) and Pamela J. Walker; step-son, David L. Long (Jeanne-Marie); granddaughters, Amanda J. Dillon (Tracy Graves) and Amber Long; and grandson, Joshua R. Dillon.
His love was for family, relatives and always helping others. Enjoyed farm, animals, working at Lawson School District, Morrow Lumber, visiting with others, and tinkering in other crafts.
Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., Thursday, May 16, 2019, with service following at Fry-Bross & Spidle Funeral Home in Kearney, Mo. Burial at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Smithville, Mo.
Contributions are to be made to the Missouri Veterans Home in Cameron, Mo.
