Eric Stewart, 56, of Lawson, Mo., passed away at Excelsior Springs Hospital on September 20, 2019.
Eric was born March 7, 1963 in North Kansas City, Mo. He was the oldest of two sons born to Dale and Joyce Stewart. His brother, Troy Dean preceded him in death on March 4, 1984.
Eric is survived by his parents; wife, Marbella; son, Ethan (Erica); daughter, Megan; stepson, Maxwell; and many friends and extended family members.
Eric enjoyed spending time with his family and going to concerts with friends.
After graduating from Lawson High School in 1981 he went to work at RC Cola. He also worked at KC Cold Storage, Eastern Airlines-KC. He then moved to St. Louis and worked at TWA while going to school at ITT. He then moved to Florida, graduated from ITT and worked for Miss. Amy & Motorola. He moved back to Missouri and went to work at Taystee. Eric and his father started Stewart Enterprises and have been working together for over 20 years.
Eric was a member of Boy Scouts and received his Eagle Scout Award in 1981. He was also a member of Lawson Masonic Lodge # 393.
A visitation will be held Friday, September 27, 2019 from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at Bross & Spidle Funeral Home Lawson Chapel, 214 N. Pennsylvania Ave., Lawson, Mo., with memorial service at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, September 29, 2019, at Lawson United Christian and Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorial contributions to the Eric Stewart Memorial Fund.

We are so sorry about Eric. We just read a notice in the Lawson Review and are in shock. He was a good friend and a great guy that will be missed by everyone that knew him. Our prayers are with every family member and we’re sorry that we weren’t at his service.
