Paul H. McKee, 97, Rayville, Mo., passed away Friday, February 28, 2020 at his home.
Paul was born January 2, 1923, at his home in Lawson, Mo., to Winston and Blanche McKee.
He was united in marriage to Ethenell Elliott of Lawson, Mo., on June 3, 1950.
Paul was a member of the Knoxville Community Church.
He served in the 869th Bomb Squadron of the United States Army Air Corps during World War II and was stationed in Saipan and Iwo Jima.
Paul engaged in agriculture for over 9 decades. He worked farmland in the Crooked River Valley using mules with his father in the 1920s and continued to farm with his family through his entire life. He shared his love of growing things from crops to gardens with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, for which they were greatly appreciative.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Ethenell McKee; three children, Calvin (Theresa) McKee of Lawson, Mo., Kathy (Dan) Carletti of Holt, M0., and Mark (Connie) McKee of Rayville, Mo.; seven grandchildren, Jessica (Shane) Spence, Brooke (Jason) Fairman, Chris (Erin) O’Dell, Matt (Martha) Carletti, Alisha (Shane) Dolt, Nick (Missy) O’Dell, and Sara (Trae) Vanderpool; and 17 great grandchildren.
He was proceeded in death by his parents; brother, John McKee; and sister, Dorothy Nolker.
A memorial visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, March 13, 2020 at Bross & Spidle Funeral Home Lawson Chapel, 214 N. Pennsylvania Ave. with military honors at 5 p.m.
