Daniel Charles Lundy

Daniel Charles LundyDaniel “Danny” Charles Lundy, 47, of Lawson, Mo., passed away June 7, 2020 in his family home.

Danny was born August 24, 1972 in Kansas City, Mo., to Christine Lynn Davis and Dan Garland Lundy. He had one sister, Kimberly Christine (Lundy) Samborski. He graduated from Winnetonka High School and was a long-time employee of Ford Motor Co. He married his bride and love of his life, Hope, on June 15, 2002.

Danny is preceded in death by his father, Dan Lundy; his mother, Christine Davis; and his sister, Kimberly (Lundy) Samborski.

Survivors include his wife, Hope (Wilcutt) Lundy; his sons, Daniel “D.J.” Lundy, Jordan Lundy, and Dillon Wilcutt; his daughters, Breana Lundy and Maddison “Maddie” Lundy; his grandsons, Cade Wilcutt and Theodore Lundy; and his stepfather, Harold Davis; along with several beloved extended family members.

Daniel Charles Lundy was a true-blue example of the All-American man: God-fearing, Bible believing, family loving, and hard working. He loved to go out fishing and shooting, though not often enough, in his free time. He was an avid Chiefs and Royals fan, and always loved supporting neighbors and co-workers in their time of need. He recently developed a real interest in small motors. He worked hard to support his family and he was a friend to all who met him and to know him was to love him.

Though he may no longer be with us, he will always remain in our hearts and memories. We take solace in knowing that he now dwells in Heaven with the lover of his soul and that, one day, we will spend eternity together walking the streets of gold. Though we miss him, we can take comfort in knowing that the pain and suffering of this world can no longer touch him. He has fought the good fight, and ran the great race, and crossed the finish line into the arms of his Savior. We will always remember our beloved for the great man that he was, and he will ever be dearly missed.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, June 13, 2020 at Lawson Assembly of God in Lawson, Mo. An interment will be held at a later date.

Arrangements in care of Bross & Spidle Funeral Home Lawson Chapel.

I knew Danny for over 25 yrs . He was a great guy and wonderful friend. I wish the family all the love in the world. He loved his wife and kids dearly and spoke of them constantly. Every time we talked within the first few minutes… he mentioned his wife and kids and talked about how amazing they were and how lucky he was to have them. I will miss him dearly. Rest in peace Danny.. until we meet again.

My friend. My heart is truly in pain hearing that you have left us. Past 2 years I’ve lost both my parents and 5 others true to my heart, including you. I’m sorry, I just found out about loss of you, my oldest friend in the world, I’m sorry I didn’t make it to your services.  I will never forget you my dear friend, my brother.  Until We Meet Again.

My pops, we haven’t talked in 2 years. I haven’t seen your smile outside of a picture. You showed me through life and death how important it is to walk gently on this earth, to love people the best you can, because that is all we got and that is all we can take with us. When I was younger you told me that music is something that connects us all and to listen and feel as much as I can. I cannot see the strings of the universe, and I’ll never understand why things happened the way they did. I just really love you dad. The older I get the more I understand. That is all I know.
Love, your Maddy
