Anthony “Tony” Lee Ardese, 70, died Thursday, August 6, 2020 at Liberty Hospital.
Anthony was born July 4, 1950 in Talihina, Okla., to Agnes Wade and Joseph Ardese. He graduated from Panola High School, Panola, Okla., in 1969. He was a Vietnam veteran, loving husband, father, and grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Jimmy Jo, Carl, Vincent, and Joseph Ardese.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Janie Ardese, son, Eric Ardese, and daughter, Christina Ardese, all of Excelsior Springs; daughter, Annette Ardese Shields and husband, Matt, two grandsons, Hunter and Jackson Shields, of Lawson, Mo.; brothers, Michael Griffitts and Elmer Ardese, and sister, Rosalie Ardese, all from Oklahoma.
A graveside service with full military honors will be held 11:30 a.m., Monday, August 10, 2020 at North New Garden Cemetery.

Anthony will be sadly missed by us. I can remember all the good times we had as a child at 220 olive and the farm. Just wished we were closer thur the years. He was always my favorite cousin even tho we haven’t seen each other in yrs. Our hearts go out to Janie and kids. It’s a big loss to our family losing him.
