Dan Carson Watkins, 64, passed away on November 10, 2020 at his home in Richmond, Mo. He was born on November 30,1955 to Hurshel and Alice (Wright) Watkins.
Dan graduated from Braymer High School in 1973. He retired from the Missouri Department of Transportation in 2010.
Dan married his wife, Kathy, on December 5, 1992 and together they created a loving family of six children.
Dan was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Hurshel Duane, James Wesley, and Tom.
Dan is survived by his wife, Kathy; his son, Dan II and wife, Christian, of Cowgill, Mo.; his daughter, Jennifer (Daues) and husband, Chris, of St Louis, Mo.; his son, Paul Staley and wife, Kim, of Richmond, Mo.; his daughter, Samantha (Hassey) and husband, Jason, of Tucson, Ariz.; his daughter, Jessica Staley and husband, Phillip Corwin, of Richmond, Mo.; his son, Levi Staley and wife, Laura Reed, of Richmond, Mo.; his brother, Brian Watkins and wife, Marla, of Excelsior Springs, Mo.; and a total of 13 grandchildren who adored their Papa.
A memorial service is scheduled for Thursday, November 12 at Polo United Methodist Church in Polo, Mo. Visitation is from 3:00 to 4:15 p.m. with memorial service following.
