Mr. Kamen Paul Dowl, age 45, of Kearney, MO, passed away Sunday, October 10, 2021, in Kansas City, MO.
Mr. Dowl was born May 16, 1976, in Pekin, IL. He raced 3 Wheelers as a child and was the Illinois Pee Wee State Champion at one time. Kamen was also a remarkable Kirby salesman. He was a Totem Pole Award winner (top salesman for 1 month in the entire United States). After sales, he worked construction which he really enjoyed. Kamen loved LIVING life and when he loved, he loved hard.
Survivors include four daughters, Lindy Rothwell, Alexis Dowl, Ashton (Glen) Stone and Aubree Dowl; four sons, Kamen P. Dowl Jr., Jaden Thompson, Dayton Dowl and Mason Dowl; grandchildren, Aiden Vick, Vincent Vick, Delaney Murray, Greyson Brophy, Graham Brophy, Adeline Niehouse, Kenny Stone and Kaiden Stone; father, Paul Glenn Dowl Jr., and mother, Debra Layne Dowl; siblings, Debbie L. Johnson of Rochester, NY, Lotilta (Kevin) Smith of Canton, MS, Paulette (Jimmy) Swedenburg of Columbus, MS, Karma Johnson of Warrensburg, MO, and Kamdan (Holly) Dowl of Kansas City, MO; and he had a host of nieces and nephews.
Kamen was preceded in death by his grandparents, Paul Dowl Sr. and Glenna Milton and Raymond and Anna Layne; sister, Michelle Dowl; three brothers, Bert Dowl, Paul Dowl and Paul Dowl III.
Memorial services will be Thursday, October 14, 2021, at 2 p.m. in the sanctuary of First United Methodist Church of Kearney, with Pastors Adam Mustoe and Sherri Oxendale officiating.
