Lynn Sherrell, 64, of Overland Park, KS, passed away October 22, 2021 after a long illness.
She leaves behind her sister, Lee Watkins, brother-in-law Paul Watkins, and his siblings, including Craig Watkins, Kathy Robinson, and Patty Summers, as well as cousins, Linda Thompson, Harry Tilden, Tom Tilden and their families.
She was preceded in death by parents, Carl and Carol Sherrell.
Lynn was a graduate of Shawnee Mission North High School and the University of Missouri. She then had a long career in customer service, before eventually retiring from Hen House Supermarkets. Her huge heart and kindness was evident in her compassion for animals and children, adopting several beloved rescue animals over the years and supporting many charities, including KC Pet Project, Rose Brooks Womens Shelter, and Christmas Families’ Red Bag project. She was also an artist and crafts person, at one time being part of the Silver Dollar City Crafts and Handcrafters guilds, as well as the Downstairs Company alongside her mother. Lynn also had a great love and interest in traveling, and was an excellent baker.
Lynn will be greatly missed by her close friends and family. She loved her pets, and in lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to KC Pet Project.
