Mary Lou McCullough

Mary Lou McCullough, 88, of Elkhorn, Mo., passed away on October 22, 2021, at Liberty Hospital.

Mary was born November 22, 1932 in South Dakota, the daughter of Albert and Evelyn Ross. She married Lawrence Gilbert McCullough of Kansas City on April 14,1949. They were married for 51 years. Mary was a homemaker, gardener, she enjoyed canning, sewing and crocheting, loved farm life and her favorite place to visit was Colorado. She always enjoyed her family and friends. Her greatest joy was all her children and grandkids.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one brother, the late Sgt. Major Albert Lee, and his wife, Phyllis Ross.

She is survived by her three children, Larry “Butch” McCullough of Elkhorn, Belinda Dolt and husband, Gene of Lawson, Kathy Cook and husband, Larry of Orrick; five grandchildren, Kemberley, Jamie, Shane, Brandy, and Jody; 13 great-grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren. She has two brothers, Robert “Bobby” Ross and wife, Melva of Kansas City, and David Ross and wife, Connie of Gladstone, Mo.; as well as nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Thursday, October 28, 2021, from 1 to 2 p.m. at Bross and Spidle Funeral Home in Lawson, Mo., with funeral services at 2 p.m. Burial will be at Southpoint Cemetery in Orrick, Mo.

I’m so sorry for your loss. Aunt Mary always had a smile on her face and was always so sweet. She will be missed. I’m sure she is in heaven now chatting with those she loves that have gone before her. May God bless your family with comfort and peace as you miss her.
