Sandra Kay Marcott, 73, of Hamilton, Mo., passed away on February 12, 2022 at NorthCare Hospice House.
Sandy, as she was known to family and friends, was born December 19, 1949 in Leavenworth, Kans. She spent her life taking care of her family. She loved to cook and was known for her fried chicken. She loved to spend time with her many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In her spare time, she loved to hand embroider quilt tops, and watching old movies (especially John Wayne movies). She enjoyed listening to country and spiritual music while she sewed. In her later years she loved playing bingo with her friends. We will always remember how her laughter would light up a room and her ornery nature would make others laugh. Sandy will be missed by her many family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Virgil Edwin Marcott, and mother, Janice Elaine (Skaggs) Fry; and brothers, Steven and Ronald Marcott.
She is survived by her brothers, Gene (Jennifer) Marcott, Virgil (Donna) Marcott, and sisters, Virginia Marcott, Kathy Sydenstricker, Pam Baker and Gwen (Danny) Gentry; aunts, Margaret (Skaggs) Martin and Pearl (Skaggs) Wilson; along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A memorial service will be held later this year.
In leiu of flowers please send donations to the NorthCare Hospice House who made her last days comfortable and loved.
