Larry Lee Cox, 82, of Firth, Nebraska, went home to be with Jesus March 22, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family.
Mr. Cox was born on November 23, 1939 in Princeton, Missouri, Mercer County.
Larry grew up on a farm in Princeton, Missouri. He spent most of his adult life building homes in Kearney, Missouri and Mesa, Arizona. He spent his retirement years living in Princeton and Kansas City, Missouri, before moving to Firth, Nebraska. Larry’s faith played a major role in his life and he helped start Northern Hills Baptist Church and New Hope Baptist Church. He was a member of the Kearney School Board in the 1980s, serving as President for a period of time. He loved to spend his time with his large family, he was a devoted father and husband. He also enjoyed gardening, traveling, and watching his beloved Royals.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Mildred Cox of Princeton, Missouri; and his sister, Betty Joyce Woodley of Princeton, Missouri.
He leaves behind his wife, Jackie Lee Cox; children, Leigh Anne (Randy) Hyde and their children Sarah, Rachel, Shea, and Shaun, Kurtis Cox (Julie) their sons Kaleb, Zachary, and Wil, Rhonda (Billy) Parkman and their children Lydia, Andrew, Bethany, and Bailey, Traci Kincaid and her children Olivia, Jackson, and Colin, and Jennifer (Scott) Boudreaux and their children Joel, Taylor, Reagan, Reece, and Quinn. He also had 21 great-grandchildren, and one brother, Garry and his wife Judy Cox.
Visitation will be held Monday, March 28, 2022 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Northern Hills Baptist Church, Holt, Missouri. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. March 29, 2022 at Northern Hills Baptist Church, Holt, Missouri, burial at 2:30 p.m. at Fairview Cemetery, Princeton, Missouri.
