Alice “Carrol” McAnally

Alice McAnallyAlice “Carrol” McAnally, 82, of Excelsior Springs, Missouri, was called home to be with our Heavenly Father on April 5, 2022.

Carrol was born in Carthage, MO, on June 15, 1939 to Clifford and Mildred Wright.

Carrol was a woman who wore many hats over the years. Most of her jobs were in sales which made her the perfect partner for her husband of 48 years, Bill McAnally. Through their marriage she found her true passion which was being a fulltime loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Carrol loved nothing more than having all her family gathered in her home. During these precious times, her smile was constant as she watched her children and grandchildren having fun. The greatest gift she leaves to her family is the love for one another that she instilled in them. Family is what truly made her most happy.

Carrol is survived by her children, Melinda Cotton and her husband Greg of Allen, Texas, Carla Alexander and her husband Rob of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, Clifford McAnally and his wife Julie of Excelsior Springs, Missouri, and Jim McAnally and his wife Debbie of Ooltewah, Tennessee; grandchildren, Tiffany and Brandon Stewart, Shelby McNeelly, Morgan Gernhart, Matthew O’Brien, and Shane McAnally; great-grandchildren, Jaxton McNeelly, Emmerson “Emmye” and Laina Gernhart. She is also survived by her sisters, Muriel Runyan and Dixie Moss.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Bill McAnally, and by her mother and father, Clifford and Mildred Wright.

Services will be held Friday, April 8, 2022 at Bross and Spidle Funeral Home, 217 W. Broadway Ave., Excelsior Springs, MO 64024. Visitation will be at 5:00 p.m., followed by a Memorial Service at 6:00 p.m.
