Pat Rice, 63, of Independence, Missouri, passed away on July 25, 2022, at North Care Hospice House. She was born on September 7, 1958, in Lincoln, Nebraska.
After receiving a two-year degree in journalism and photography, Pat worked in the photography and photo retouching field in Lincoln, Nebraska, for many years. Later, she switched gears and moved to the Kansas City area with Utilicorp, later Aquila, finally transferring to Black Hills Energy. She completed her four-year degree at Park University. She was known to her family and friends by her sharp wit and sense of sarcasm, as well as her love of history and collecting.
She is survived by sister, Carol Rice, of Excelsior Springs, Missouri; brother, Don Rice, of Crete, Nebraska; nephews, Brandon Rice, of Lincoln, Nebraska and Erik Duensing, of Raleigh, North Carolina; and great nephew, Eamonn Duensing, of Raleigh, North Carolina.
