Sterling Wayman, 64, of Holt, Missouri, passed away early Monday, December 12, 2022, at Liberty Hospital from cancer.
Sterling was born April 22, 1958, in Smithville, Missouri, to the late Warner and Zelma Wayman. He was the youngest of six children, three preceded him in death. Sterling graduated from Kearney High School and worked as a diesel mechanic. He served in the Army National Guard during his younger years. Sterling resided in his hometown of Holt, Missouri, with his fiancé, Jennifer Engles. He loved spending time with his family friends, hunting, and fishing. He was a loving, caring gentle and quiet person, devoted to helping family and friends.
He is survived by his fiancé; sister, Brenda Huxtable, of Kearney, Missouri; brother, Edmond Wayman, of Theodosia, Missouri; and a host of grandkids, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 15, 2022, at Antioch Cemetery in Holt, Missouri, for his closest friends and family. A celebration of life will be hosted by the family on Thursday, December 15, 2022, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Legion Hall in Holt, Missouri.
The family is requesting donations in lieu of flowers to help with the unexpected funeral expenses. Donations can be made to the family.
